Hello, my name is Francesco, from Italy. How are you? =) I want to make a backup for my WP website. But, because I’m photographer, my website is very heavy. Obviously, the heaviest part is the “uploads” directory. Now, I’m able to create a 250-300 zip Duplicator file. But, because I’m very newbie and I have never made any copy (even in local) of any website, I would like to know if isn’t too big. I read that the free version is for max 100 MB website: is it true? I want to make a backup of my website on my hard drive, to be sure that nobody will delete my job and to be able to upload when I want. I have also a phPBB forum. But I was able to make a migration from my very old host (with some trouble, like filzilla didn’t like file without extension…)

    thank you =)

    Hey @cecofuli,

The plugin doesn’t really have an official limit with ZipArchive the limit typically is imposed on the server side. We have seen sites as large as 5GB with the free version. However, you are right with most budget hosts and the constraints that are setup you may have issues with larger sites. If you’re just trying to move a site you can always try the two-part install found here:

    Hope that helps~

thak you so much for your answer. 5GB! Wow!!! Mine isn’t so huge =)
I hope I will never need Duplicator
