Max Download Limit

    Hi,

    I have developed a shop for a client with downloadable products.

    One of the products is around 2.2GB in size. When using the download link it gets to around 440MB when just stops and I can only play 25% of the downloaded video.

    Is there a way to increase the max downloadable size of files or anything I can do to fix this?

    I have been in contact with my hosting provider and they are saying it is a WordPress issue.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    There is no such thing as a “maximum download limit”. However, that’s a darn large file and can use up a lot of your hosting bandwidth. Have you consider hosting the file elsewhere like Amazon S3 or Dropbox?

    I have but I wasnt sure that with Dropbox you could limit downloads per person?

    Probably not. Once you give the link, it’s “out there”.
