Support » Plugin: Master Slider - Responsive Touch Slider » Masterslide in tab displays tiny image in fullsize window

    Hi,

    I have set up 2 Mastersliders that are nested in a Responsive Tabs tabset.

    The first slider is in the active tab and displays normally, but when I switch to the second slider in the next tab, it shows up as a tiny image in a regular sized Masterslide space.

    Sometimes going back to the first tab from another tab also causes the first slider to display minute images, as well.

    Suggestions please on how to fix?

    Hi,

    You need to update your hidden slider (which exists in second tab) after user clicks on tab.
    Please use the following code and change ‘.my-tab’ to select your tab element.

    function(event){
      var api = event.target;
      jQuery('.my-tab').click(function(){
        msCli('update');
      })
    }

    Hi, Thanks for responding.

    I am not an expert in WP, so I must ask where in the page does this go? It does not look like it goes straight into the HTML. Is this a CSS item, or JS, or elsewhere? Or does it get added to the functions php file?

    Should I add this to the primary tab also to prevent situations where returning to the first tab causes the mini-image situation?

    Hi,
    first of all you need to change ‘.my-tab’ to the CSS class name of your tab.
    And about the place of code I have to say this code is a jQuery code and it should run to that page.
    I am afraid I cannot help you more but you can use some plugin to run JavaScript on a specific page.
    Also you may try to put the code on text editor of that page but it is not a good soloution and not working all the time

    <script>
    function(event){
      var api = event.target;
      jQuery('.my-tab').click(function(){
        msCli('update');
      })
    }
    </script>

    I set up my gallery #2 page as follows with the tab assigned a class called “post-layout”

    <!-- Gallery 2 Layerslider ***************************** -->
    [wpv-conditional if="( $(wpcf-extra-gallery) eq '1' )"] -->
    [restab title="Gallery 2" class="post-layout"]

    <div align=center>

    [masterslider id="[types field='gallery-id2' output='raw'][/types]"]<p>
    </div>

    <div id="spaceblock30"></div>
    [wpv-conditional if="( $(wpcf-project-description-2) ne '' )"]

    [types field='project-description-2'][/types]

    [/wpv-conditional]
    [/restab]

    [/wpv-conditional] -->

    My theme includes a Jscript window that will add the sript tags so I inserted the following

    function(event){
    var api = event.target;
    jQuery('.post-layout').click(function(){
    msCli('update');
    })
    }

    But the tiny slideshow issue still happens, even after full reload of page.

    Please note that this is not resolved!

    The solution given does not fix the problem, possibly because it is not specific enough.

    Please advise.

    Hi smarttinc
    I checked your site and I am afraid to say there are lots of JavaScript error on your console, which you can see them by pressing “ctrl” + “shift” + “j”
    Please fixed them first.

    OK.

    The only JS added to the page was the script you provided above. When I commented it out, the error disappeared with it.

    Any other JS issues I saw came from my browser blocking out doubleclick ad and google maps, neither of which is installed or enabled on my site.

    So how do we fix this tiny slide problem?

    Hi,

    You are setting class name in code wrongly.
    Please replace the .post-layout with .nav.nav-tabs li a and check your page again.

    Hi, Thanks for responding.

    Part of your code appears to have dropped out. What does “li a” mean?

    As I see it, in assigning and calling the class there are two lines of code that need to be altered.

    In the Jscript jQuery('.post-layout').click(function(){

    and in the main page code [restab title="Gallery 2" class="post-layout"]

    Do I need to declare the class elsewhere as well besides in the Jscript, like in the CSS? I did not do so.

    If I replace .post-layout with .nav.nav-tabs in the Jscript as you instructed above, what do I replace the post-layout in the [restab title="Gallery 2" class="post-layout"] with?

    Should it now read [restab title="Gallery 2" class="nav.nav-tabs"] ? Please clarify. Thanks.

    Hi,

    You don’t need to change anything but .post-layout with .nav.nav-tabs li a only in your js script.

    Currently, msCli('update'); runs when you click on .post-layout and it do nothing to fixing your issue. By replacing the .post-layout with .nav.nav-tabs li a, the msCli('update'); function runs after clicking on tabs and that resolves the issue.

    No any other changes in shortcode or styles are needed.

    JS now reads . . .

    function(event){
      var api = event.target;
      jQuery('.nav.nav-tabs li a').click(function(){
        msCli('update');
      })
    }

    No change. 🙁

    Hi there! I had a similar issue, and @zhanna gave me some CSS that worked like a charm! Here’s the thread: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/master-slider-display-issue-in-tabs/#post-8982899

    Hi aureliarose, Thank you so much for your help.

    I had to shelve this issue for a while as customer work took precedence. Now I am revisiting it to finalize my upgraded site.

    I tried this in the CSS of my tabs plugin (Tabby Responsive Tabs), both and without the pills. I saw no change. The first tab to load with images sizes them correctly. The other tab does not. if I leave the slider running in the second tab for a while, eventually the images start displaying correctly, however, upon returning to the first tab I then see only the tiny images displayed there instead.

    Any other ideas?

    Hi @smarttinc,

    Please put the below code on Master Slider -> Slider Callbacks -> Add new callback: On slider Init :

    function(event){
      var api = event.target;
      jQuery('.responsive-tabs__list__item').click(function(){
        msCli('update');
      })
    }

    Please let me know the result.

    Best,
    Averta
