Support » Plugin: Stock Locations for WooCommerce » Massive Import with location stock

    Hello!

I am currently trying to upload products via the native woocommerce import tool, by uploading a csv.

The issue I have now is that I have not found a way to setup the stock location in the product. I can upload a variable product with variations with stock in different locations and that works as it should with the metadata columns. But when I try to upload a new product I cant seem to find a way to enable the checkboxes for the locations automatically, I have to manually go to the product and check the boxes.

I hope you can help me and tell me if this feature is at all enabled or needs to be added to the plugin.

@svenhollstein surely I can help you with this. If you can add those metadata column values for the new products as well, those locations will be enabled automatically. This feature has been tested for another user already.

In case you still need me to have a look in it, please use the urgent help option under the help tab on the settings page.

Hi! I tried doing just that, but the locations are not enabled automatically and I had to manually go to the product and enable them.

Strange, it was a tested feature and with a positive stock qty. number in those columns will surely enable the location for that product. Anyways, I can check it with you if you want.

Is it maybe necessary to add a stock to the variable product and not just the variations for it to automatically enable the locations for the variable product?

Its a bit counterintuitive, I will try it and let you know.

    Sure, take your time.

    I cant make it work.

I am using the metadata coulmns Meta: _stock_at_XXX for the stock at each location, am i missing something? Are there other columns I should be using?

I tried also with a simple product, adding stock at location and it also does not work.

It is difficult to guide like this, usually users export a file and then follow the same file column names to import. Are you doing the same steps?

Yes I got the meta columns from an export after configuring products manually.

Could it be possible that with an update this feature stopped working?

I don’t know, nobody reported yet, although a number of users are using import feature already.
