Mass Image Upload

  • CrispinJava

    @crispinjava

    Hi,
    I have hundreds of posts on my blog, and all of them contain one image each, which is hosted on an external server… Is there some way that I could get wordpress to upload all of those images automatically to my server, and relink to those new images. It would be brutal to do it by hand!
    Thanks for your help –
    Cheers,
    Crispin

  • If you have all those images in folder/s in your external server, download those folders to computer and upload to the server where your blog resides – keeping the structure.
    Then go to phpMyAdmin and backup SQL. Save copy to your computer and open with text editor. Search and replace the URL/string to image files. Drop tables from database and import the revised SQL.

    I also remember someone in this forum who used the Search and Replace plugin to change image URLs. Good luck
