We currently have about 1,000 html sites on a network server that users edit with Adobe Contribute. After hearing the news that Adobe will discontinue Contribute, we have decided to move everything to WordPress, and we now have about 600 WordPress sites on a different server.
Recently, there has been a push to get all of the HTML sites moved as quickly as possible. Is there a suggested tool or method for doing this cleanly and quickly?
We don’t want to preserve the template/theme of the old sites, we just want to move the content. This makes me think that converting each site into an XML file that a WordPress site could import might be the best way to go, but I haven’t found an existing tool for this yet. Perhaps that’s because it wouldn’t work, but I wanted to ask.
