I haven’t tested it with Software Licensing so far so I can’t say which price it will take.
Right now I’d think it uses the sale price, but that would also depend on how SL gets the price..
I’ll put it on my to-do list to test this out and let you know (probably going to be over the weekend), or let me know if you got to it to test that out 😉

I’ve done some testing…
When buying a $79 product that is on sale for $1 I pay $1.
A) When renewing that product, and its still on sale for $1, I get the (renewal) discount (in my test 30%, $0.30) discount on that.
B) When the product is back to its original price of $79, I will pay $79 (minus the 30% renewal discount)
I think that works perfectly like that, your thoughts?

Ya, that sounds about right. I contacted Pippin with this question too and he said that renewals happen at current price, so it looks like your plugin basically overrides the current price. That means that if it’s on sale when a renewal happens then that renewal will be 30% off of the sale price.
I think having some options to play with that would be helpful. Like, if the Software Licensing addon is active, you have additional settings that say “Do you want renewals to happen with the sale price?”
But for now, just knowing how it works exactly can help us plan. Thanks for putting in that work and reporting back. It’s a simple plugin that does exactly what it should and is exactly what we needed right now. Thanks!
