MarkItUp visual editor being loaded twice

    Hi,

    For some reason the MarkItUp visual editor is being loaded twice. I’m using the WP Fastest Cache plugin, and tried excluding jquery.markitup.js?ver=4.0.8 but it didn’t seem to work.

    Is this an issue you have come across before by any chance?

    Running some tests, it’s definitely something to do with the caching, as when it’s enabled, MarkItUp loads only once.

    I tried disabling all options apart from the basic “enable caching” check box, but the issue persists.

    Hi Kev,
    I don’t know. In the free version it only combines JavaScript in the header, not the footer. I cannot test it here.

    This plugin uses standard wp_enqueue functions.
    I can imagine that the JS is not loaded on every page, so the JS cache will be different on every page.

    Sorry, forgot to post an update here. I managed to work around the issue by reverting back to WP Rocket. So although the issues isn’t resolved as such, I’ve managed to work around it.
