    Hi,

    First of all, thanks for this nice plugin.
    “/> symbol is seen on my homepage (frontend) at above header and left corner. Only on homepage, other pages are ok.

    My site has been set up to have no trail slash at the end of home url. It’s been adjusted accordingly also on wordpress settings-general. But when I view the source code of main page, also when I see the snippet preview of your plugin on backend of the page, I see trail slash as canonical url. Could this be causing the problem? Or maybe something else..I have no idea.

    Hi,

    Sorry that this is happening on your home page. It looks like an unescaped tag, so should be an easy fix.

    Can you provide the URL of your web site, so we can investigate and fix this?

    Thanks!

    Yes, of course.

    This is caused by pasting the entire Bing meta verification string into WP Simple SEO > General > Bing > Meta Verification.

    To workaround, please ensure you only paste the value in the content="value" section of the tag supplied by Bing.

    1.0.2 will detect this and correctly output the verification tag.

    In case anybody has the same issue, here is the solution provided by Author;

    Problem was caused by wrongly inserting site verification code of Bing.

    <meta name=”msvalidate.01″ content=”YOUR CODE” />
    It should be only -YOUR CODE- just remove the other parts.

    Thanks a lot guys. Much appreciated.
