Maps marker and map "infowindow" text translation (custom strings)?

    Hello,

    is it possible to add feature that “Popup text” field content, which is entered on the map, is connected with “custom strings” which Polylang or WPML use (I think they are compatible).

    This way, User could enter separate translations in custom strings section, and that would avoid need of making multiple copies of the same map, if you need just ti show different text in marker infowindow.

    What do you say?

    Hi lokz,
    thanks for your interest in my plugin & your feedback.
    I evaluated the integration of polylang respectively WPML a few months ago – unfortunately I didnt find a way to support them yet.
    not sure if this will change in the near future…

    Thanks for your answer. Maybe this can be managed by using conditional php statement in the text field. Is it possible to use php in it and do i need other plugin to do so (i am talking about text under map in your plugin admin area).

    The text for the list of markers below layer maps currently only supports text and/or HTML codes, php code will not be executed. The only way I could think of currently how to achieve that would be to use IDs and jquery replacing the text – might be a bit complex custom solution though.

    As mentioned in my first reply, I didnt find a way yet to support WPML or other language plugins, allowing users to add popuptext in multiple languages, sorry. This might change in the future though.

    Then, only way to achieve this is to duplicate marker or layer for every language on website.

    However “duplicate” is premium feature of the plugin.

    Well, it is still very usable in this free version I must say. Well done Robert.
