 * On my site the maps part of the Events Calendar works great. I have not input
   a Google Maps API key yet – so it is using the plugin’s own key as far as I understand.
 * I am thinking of using another plugin called “Simple Business Directory with
   Google Maps”
    This plugin requires a maps API key.
 * My first question is – Should it be OK to have two plugins that both use Google
   Maps ?
 * My second question regards the experience of trying to get an API key –
    I set
   up a project in the Google Cloud Platform, connected my credit card, added the
   Maps Javascript API and the Geocoding API as the documentation for TEC requests
 * However in order to actually get the key, It says I have to go to the credentials
   screen – at this I have to select something to do with oAuth – whereupon there
   are all sorts of questions that go rather above my head.
    I am wondering if I
   have taken a wrong turn somewhere – is there an easy way to just get this API
   key, so I can add it to this plugin ?
 * Thanks for any help.

 * Please ignore the second part of this question – after some blind muddling around,
   I seem to have a key. I don’t know if doing the oAuth bit was necessary, but
   I ended up seeing a “Create Credentials” button which finally gave me an API
   key

 * Hi [@gordonbooker](https://wordpress.org/support/users/gordonbooker/)
 * Glad to hear that you have been able to resolve part of your issue here!
 * As for the first part, sometimes a conflict arises when you have to enter your
   Google Maps API key in multiple plugins that are included on the same page.
 * What you’ll want to look out for is if you see an error there in the console
   when doing so. But if the functionality works as expected, you should be good
   to go.
 * I hope that helps!
 * Thanks,
    Jaime
