mapping domain to subdomain created on specific network

    I’m trying to work out the logistics of using the domain mapping plugin on one specific network created using networks for wordpress.

    My set up:

    primary_domain.com ( activated multisite and multi-network here )
    to create the following networks …

    primary_domain.com
    unique_domain_one.com
    unique_domain_two.com

    I manage my own dns over at dyndns, so, have my a name record for primary_domain pointing to my server’s IP … have all the other domains set up the same and then parked at server.

    then … on unique_domain_one.com I created the subdomain site

    childof.unique_domain_one.com

    so far so good, but, now I need to map

    totally_different_unique_domain_name.com to childof.unique_domain_one.com

    I installed the domain mapping plugin and am realizing that perhaps this isn’t going to be the right route.

    To Dean … I have been reading a lot of your comments etc. and I get the impression that perhaps this functionality already lies within your code perhaps with a little assistance from a modified sunrise.php … but … I only have a few strands of hair left, so could really use some experienced clarification on which path I should be taking on this …
