Map stuck on “Map Loading…”

I am having an issue with loading google maps. The map seems to stick on the message “Loading Map…”

When I first load the page, the map area shows “Loading Map…”

If I simply refresh the page, the map displays correctly.

If I navigate away and come back to the same page, it reverses back to original state of “Loading Map…”

This behavior is exhibited on all pages containing maps.
