Support » Plugin: Events Manager » Map seems to be covered by theme body

  • Resolved Alan Taylor

    I am using a modified version of the TwentyTwelve theme for my site, and I have only been able to set the background colour by altering the style.css file for the first entry in the CSS

    html, body, div, span, applet, object, iframe, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, p, blockquote, pre, a, abbr, acronym, address, big, cite, code, del, dfn, em, img, ins, kbd, q, s, samp, small, strike, strong, sub, sup, tt, var, b, u, i, center, dl, dt, dd, ol, ul, li, fieldset, form, label, legend, table, caption, tbody, tfoot, thead, tr, th, td, article, aside, canvas, details, embed, figure, figcaption, footer, header, hgroup, menu, nav, output, ruby, section, summary, time, mark, audio, video {
    	margin: 0;
    	font-size: 100%;
    	vertical-align: baseline;
    	color: #eaeaea;
    	border-color: #21759b;
    	border-width: 0;
    	padding: 0;
    	background: #212121;

    Alas, setting this background colour seems to cover up the map on my event pages. I say cover up because this background colour is usually set to an alpha of 0.

    When I use a program like CSSEdit to change the background colour in real time, altering the alpha will ‘reveal’ the map, as though it were underneath the background.

    PLEASE help me to keep my background colour as it is while also showing the maps! The only alternative I have found is to remove the map from the event and add my own via iFrame, but that isn’t a long term solution.

    I have been playing around with the CSS for this theme for 2 days trying to get this to work now, and I have other things I need to deal with on the site before the end of the weekend.

    An example of my issue can be seen on this event page:
