    Hi,

I’m having a problem showing a map on this page:
    http://www.myfrigg.dk/?page_id=4590

It seems like the “usual” kml map error but this one has been validated by google feed validator – and I don’t think the reason is the letter “ö” since it’s working on the second map on the page.

I have previously uploaded pages with characters like theese on my site and no errors has occured. What am I doing wrong with my AU.kml?

    regards

    G’day Boatbum,

Glad to hear you got it working. Can you explain what the problem was and how you solved it?

    cheers,

    Hi Ross,

Apparantly the Google Validator isn’t able to find <MultiGeometry> errors. So I found a KML editing tool and started manually to compare the error files with some that was working.

The edit tool is jEdit – but it’s not the best software seen. Could you recommend another free program?

    Regards
    Bo

    G’day Bo,

I generally just use Geany, a simple IDE for programmers. For validation, check out this information:

    http://kml4earth.appspot.com/kmlBestPractice.html#Basic_Validation

Essentially, you can save a copy of the file as .xml and use Google Chrome or Firefox to validate the XML for you. Beyond that, “it breaks” is your indication of a problem if the validators don’t help 🙁

    cheers,
    Ross
