you can try to use placeholder like #_LOCATIONMAP{70%} instead under Events > Settings > Formatting > Events

On the event page i do not see how to insert that code.
you need to go to Events > Settings > Formatting > Events > Single event page format then search for #_LOCATIONMAP and replace with the above placeholder.

You have a div wrapped around the map called em-location-map-container that’s not responsive. You might want to try adding CSS code as suggested here to it:
