Map not finding rural addresses

    I am really loving this plugin except for one problem – when users submit a rural address, it doesn’t pop up. It only pinpoints very general addresses (like at the town level).
    A lot of our users will be adding locations that are very rural, is there a way to make this easier for them? There must be a better way that zooming in to the town and finding the address manually to place the marker?

    Hi @keonalearnbase,

    Thanks for reaching out. My plugin uses OpenStreetMap as geosearch provider. It is free (no API key) and therefor works quiet well. I know it has some shortfalls in some rural areas though. In urban areas it works great and even businesses can be found.

    However I’m planing to extend the functionality so that you can select other geosearch providers (eg. Google). Can you provide me an example of a search term for a rural area? I will then try to find a provider that works and release this feature with a upcoming update.

    I’m closing this due to inactivity. However – I’m planing to include additional map services (also Google Maps) in the future. This would improve address search.

    Hello – sorry, I thought I had responded to this but obviously not! Here is one of the addresses it is not finding: 14 Ermineskin Ave, Maskwacis  AB

    Hi @keonalearnbase,

    I’ve checked this spot with several free map providers. Unfortunately none of these does show the street name. So the solution will be to use Google Maps instead. I will implement this with a future update (within the next weeks).
