Support » Plugin: Geolocation » Map hover text not appearing

I’m running WordPress 5.0.3 with the Twenty Fourteen theme and Geolocation plugin 0.4.1. I have Geolocation configured to add the map for the post via hover text after the post. I can see the whitespace where the hover text would usually appear, after the related pages and before the tag icons. The text, however does not appear, nor is it included in the page source. Note that all of my pages were created before the debut of the block editor in WordPress (v5) and these pages have not been “migrated” to blocks.

The Google Maps API key has been set and I have the Javascript API and the Geocoding API enabled. When I edit a page with a location, I can see the corresponding location on a map in the editor. I also have another plugin that uses Google Maps and it is working correctly as well.

I’ve been using the Geolocation ever since the WordPress iOS app came out and this is the first time it’s given me any trouble.

    Any ideas?

    Paul

    Hi Paul,
I’m investigating this issue. Apparently, that already happened in my test instance which runs on 4.9.6. So it seems that this is not wp5 related.

    Hi Paul,

I figured out, why the plugin did not store it and corrected the issue.
This is now solved in 0.4.2.

    Yann
