    Hi Folks,
I’ve been using this excellent product for a while now but today I seam to have hit a wall. Whatever sidebar I try to edit the search results produced by clicking in the existing pages box are missing many of my published pages. Even if I try to make a new side bar the pages are still quite short of what’s available. My basic info is shown below if it helps.
    Thanks for looking.

    An Addendum.
I don’t know what difference it makes but the pages that are missing from search results all begin with a letter at the far end of the alphabet.
I just created a page starting with “A” and that show as available for inclusion.
So far Nothing after “N” shows up.
Changing page title “A SIG Calendar” to “SIG Calendar” causes it to vanish from the list of available pages.

Thank you for reporting this and including the list of plugins.

Can you confirm that your issue is not the same as: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/number-of-pages-and-31

In short; are you able to type in a few letters, and then find e.g. the “SIG Calendar” page?

Problem solved and thanks for you quick response.
Call me dumb if you like but I never realized I could type in a search string. I thought the plugin just searched when I clicked in the box.
When the latest version came out I seam to remember a tutorial video. I can’t remember whether I was too clever to watch or just didn’t pay attention.
    Great plugin BTW
    Cheers,
    Eugene.

Great that you got it working!

It is correct that I included a short tour because the UI was completely rewritten. But the tour did not really address searching. It will be included in the FAQ.

If you run into more problems, do not hesitate to open a new support thread here. And if you like Content Aware Sidebars, please leave a review here: https://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/content-aware-sidebars

I encountered the same problem as gene-stevo – since updating to newest version. And yep, after beating head-on-wall I found this thread and solved it.
Except… why does the Search auto-drop-down not display all available Pages (or Posts as the case may be)? It’s a confusing detail.

    ~thx, Wayne

ps. AWESOME plugin in any event Joachim, you rock

Probably because you have to draw the line somewhere.
I maintain another site built with CMSMS. It has 3972 pages. That would be quite a list to fit in a drop down. 🙂

Thank you for the kind words. If you love the plugin, please consider spending 2 minutes to leave a review here: https://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/content-aware-sidebars

As @gene-stevo points out, only 20 results are displayed by default to make the plugin scale on big sites. I could’ve chosen a slightly bigger number, but because you can filter the results by typing, 20 seemed adequate.

For now the question “All content items are not listed in the sidebar editor” have been added to the FAQ.
