Many files in WP-Includes flagged

    I am getting all these “Issues” by WordFence regarding old wp-includes files that it thinks should be deleted.

    These are:
    1) thumbs.db (found in several folders)
    2) class-IXR.php.bkup
    3) class-IXR.php.rej

    So it seems these files are not in the latest WordPress version, but I am a little apprehensive about deleting them. What if something goes wrong later?

    Can anyone clarify is it safe to delete these files?

    Hey @bliss7,

    If you’d like to share the contents of the files in a pastebin.com we can take a look to see if they’re malicious. But I think it would be just fine to delete them as long as you make a backup before doing so.
