[resolved] Manually Upload Dump File (5 posts)

Is there a way to manually upload the dump .zip file via ftp? If so, what directory would you place it? Can the plugin then automatically extract and restore it?

I keep getting an 'HTTP' error (the error literally just says 'HTTP' in a red box) and I'm wondering if manually uploading the file via ftp would solve the problem.

    Correction: it says 'HTTP error.'

    Hi invot,

Thank you for reporting this issue.
We have received a number of similar reports like yours.
We were unable to replicate that issue on our servers and we tried on a few different platforms.

Could you assist us in debugging this problem?
What OS is your server using?
What browser are you using while you try to upload?

    Thank you for your help.

I wanted to update this thread and to provide answer to the original question.
We found the cause of the 'HTTP error'. We are fixing it and will be releasing a new patch version - 1.2.1 that will fix this error.
About manually importing a dump file - at the moment this is not possible, however I think it is a good idea to add a second way of importing a file, just like WordPress does with its plugin system. I am putting this on the roadmap for version 2.0.0
