Manually Placed Position of the Review Box

    I am currently using WP Product Review Lite and cannot figure out how manually place review boxes within posts. Your WP Product Review Documentation mentions that it is possible in WP Product Review Lite but not recommended because it will need some modification of the theme’s .php files. You will find this excerpt below:

    3)General Settings
    Position of the review box – this allows you to choose where to include the reviews in the post, at the begining or the end of the post. Manually inserting them is not recommended for WP Product Review Lite because you need to manually your theme’s .php files to insert the reviews into post.
    If using the PRO version, shortcodes can be used easily to insert the review anywhere into the post, as well as more than 1 review per article. Shortcodes also come with different type of reviews, a demo can be seen here.

    Can you provide the steps (and codes) in order to accomplish this through the modification of the theme’s .php files?

    I know this is also a PRO function (with short codes) but the available option in WP Product Review Lite’s settings and the WP Product Review Documentation indicates that it is still a feature.

    I’m so glad you are interested in WP Product Review, and want to use more out of it. Here is a complete separate doc for the placement of review box. Yes, manual placement of the review box through shortcodes is only available in PRO version of the plugin.

    Unfortunately, we can’t provide you customization code for modification in theme’s .php file. For custom coding work though, we recommend websites such as http://upwork.com or http://codeable.io.
    You will find some great professionals there that are more than capable to give you a hand.
    You could also try http://fiverr.com and get custom coding done for as low as $5USD!

    The link you provided states that this is only a PRO feature. If that is truly the case I would suggest that you update your WP Product Review Documentation to indicate as such. It would also be helpful to indicate in the lite plugin that these are PRO features. That way people don’t waste time thinking it’s possible.

    Of course, enabling this feature for lite users would be my preference.

    I did consider supporting you with a purchase for PRO, but the $59 ANNUAL license for personal use is too steep for me. I would consider it at half that cost or full cost for a lifetime license.

    Hi @pdwinslow,

    Thanks for taking your time to read the docs. I really apologize if I wasn’t clear earlier, the manual placement of the review box is possible in the lite version as well, only with some customization and tweaking the code. And, the customization is not provided by us. If you don’t want to go through such customization, you can buy the PRO version of the plugin, and get this feature along with many others.
