    Hi,

Sometimes for SEO we use structures like this:

LINK 1: Main Site > Page

And that gives the breadcrumb Main Site > Page

But we want certain breadcrumbs to display like this:

LINK 1 (for same page as above): Main Site > Page > Page

    This is for things like

    LINK 1 Current: website.com/service-three

But we want to show on the breadcrumb (without changing page hierarchy)

    website.com/services/service-three

Is there a way to achieve this? Hope it makes sense 😉

The best solution is to place the pages properly, in a hierarchical fashion and modify the permalinks for each page so that they are the shorter version that you want.

However, if you really want to manually specify the breadcrumb trail, this can be done using a WordPress menu. All items that you want in your custom hierarchy would have to be in the menu, but the menu does not have to be displayed on the page. To do this, you need the Breadcrumb NavXT Menu Magic extension plugin.
