[resolved] Manually Confirming Subscribers NOT Triggering Emails (6 posts)

I've already submitted several support tickets on the main MailPoet website on this. I don't know if it's a language barrier or how else to explain it but somewhere along the line, the support person trying to help me doesn't seem to understand the issue, so I'm posting here.

Sometimes, subscribers either forget or don't click the link in their email to confirm their subscription. There is a feature inside MailPoet to manually confirm unconfirmed subscribers. When subscribers are manually confirmed, the emails that those people are registering for are NOT sending.

This is a big problem and needs to be fixed.

We've talked with this user already on our support page and we'll release a fix for that issue on upcoming versions.

This is still an issue. I run the latest version of MailPoet, and even after I manually confirm a subscriber, it is not sending any emails.

However, the main issue is that starting recently users can't confirm their subscription because the confirmation link leads to a 403 Permission Denied page.

Manually confirming a user won't trigger the email for the activation process. You need to select the batch action "Resend confirmation emails".

About this 403 page, that might be happening because of a security plugin installed. Check to see if you don't have the iThemes Security installed. There's an option in this plugin that prevents long URLs to work. That's the cause.

Thanks! I overlooked the "resend..." action.
Responded to the potential security plugin issue on the other thread.
