Is there a way to circumvent the automatic assignment of blogid’s when creating a new subsite in Multi-User?

I’m working on a network of sites that are pulling information from an already existing table of several locations that have established id numbers. I’d like their blogid to match their location id’s in the table we have.

I hope that question makes sense…

    No.

just go create a whackload of test blogs & delete the ones you don;t need.

    Dang….that’s several hundred blogs

    Oh well 🙂

So. this pre-exisitng table – how is it using blog IDs to start with?

The blog ID is only used internally, not for the blog owner. often they have no idea what it is. programatically you can hook up your info to whatever blog you want.

(and you could skip a few hundred numbers in there by manually changing table info)
