# Manual Update! Keep Getting Errors

 * After following all the steps on the manual update I am getting the following
   error:
    `Fatal error: Call to a member function add_rewrite_tag() on a non-object
   in /home/a1394881/public_html/wp-includes/rewrite.php on line 51`
 * I removed wp-admin and wp-include and uploaded the new wp-admin and wp-include.
   I uploaded all the files in the root directory overwriting old ones. I replaced
   things in wp-content that needed to be replaced. I have all plugins disabled.
 * Any reason why I am getting this error?

 * Try this:
 * Rename the _plugins_ folder found in _wp-content_ to _old-plugins_
 * This will rule out any issues related to plugins.
 * You may also want to make sure an uploaded default theme is in place and rename
   all other theme folders (in wp-content/themes) to old-theme_folder_name…
 * These temporary steps can isolate an issue.
 * BTW, I am receiving this error on a Sucuri scan of your site:
 * Unable to properly scan your site. Site returning error: HTTP/1.1 502 Bad Gateway:

 * I have tried renaming the plugins folder and then re-uploading the default plugins
   folder.
 * I also followed your steps and renamed non-default themes to oldtheme_name. I
   still am faced with the same issues.

 * My only further advise based on a clean manual install, no plugins and default
   theme is:
 * Contact Web Host.

 * Well, it worked before the update to latest version, so it should not be a hosts
   issue.

 * Yes, the latest update with default theme works on a good host.

 * I did a rollback to a older version I could find, but now I have this error:
   `
   Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/a1394881/
   public_html/wp-includes/meta.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/
   php') in /home/a1394881/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 118`
