Manual excerpt chops off last few words

    Hi,

    I use manual excerpts quite a lot, but have a persistent problem that the last one to three words are often chopped off, especially if there is any punctuation at the end of the excerpt.

    Sometimes I can fix this by going in and manually retyping the last sentence of the excerpt, but often even this won’t fix it, and it continues to chop the last word or three. It doesn’t matter whether the excerpt is long or short.

    Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
