Support » Plugin: All In One WP Security & Firewall » ‘Manual approval’ doesn’t stop access via Woocommerce registration

  • Hi,

I have enabled your plugin’s “manual approval” feature. It works on the default WordPress registration form.

However, when I register a new account through the Woocommerce login/registration form (with email address, new password, and tick the box to agree to the T&C’s), I am immediately given access initially.

Only after I log out, I am prevented from logging in (until the account is manually approved).

FYI, I prefer my website uses the Woocommerce form because it integrates with the theme and it includes a link to the Privacy Policy and has the checkbox “I agree to the Terms and Conditions” with a link to the T&C’s. And it has login form and register form on the one page (so users don’t have to click another link to get there). And, its URL is not wp-login.php, which seems like a small security benefit. It allows me to detect and deal with anyone who tries to manually go to the URL wp-login.php.

One extra thing I notice: there is no message informing the user that their newly registered acccount is pending manual approval. I guess it’s another incompatibility with the Woocommerce login form.

  • But I really like your plugin, so I hope it can be integrated with the Woocommerce registration form.

For the moment, I guess I could rely on the default registration form (and use the plugin LoginPress to beautify the form from the ugly WP registration form) and somehow use PHP or some plugin to add the checkbox to agree to T&C’s.

If I take care of those issues, the only remaining issue of concern would be having to rely on the URL /wp-login.php?action=register

FYI, the Captcha feature doesn’t appear on Woo’s registration form either.

I am guessing the Registration Honeypot isn’t added to Woo’s registration form either.

Hi, please check the following documentation aiowps-and-woocommerce-captcha-settings.

Let me know if the above helps you.

    Thank you

Thanks, for the info on captcha for Woocommerce, but that was just an FYI.

For captcha to be useful to me, I’d need the “Manual approval” feature to work on Woocommerce’s registration form.

Do you happen to have any information on how to get that working with Woo, such that a new user doesn’t get immediately access on registering and that there is a notification to them in the form that their account is pending?

    Thanks

I have submitted a message to the developers to investigate further your request.

    Thank you

    Ok, thanks a lot!
