[Resolved] Mantra theme went wrong somewhere

    @deltaskelta

    my url is: http://www.radbrains.com

    The front page is fine, but when you click on any of the other pages, the main div is as wide as the browser will let it be.

    I have no idea why this just started happening and I cannot find anything in the code that I see in firefox that would tell me why this is.

    Can anyone see why it would be doing this?

    In the templates of the broken pages, make sure <div id="main"> is inside <div id="wrapper">

    Problem, semi-solved. I was editing out the code for the radbrains site title in the header and it caused it to do this for some reason.

    Now my question is: How do I get the title out of the header without causing this problem?

    You probably closed off the <div id="wrapper">

    edit: despite the ‘resolved’ message, I still see the problem. end edit

    caused by bad commenting of the site title code;

    front:

    <!-- <h1 id="site-title">
    					<span> <a href="http://www.radbrains.com/" title="Radbrains.com" rel="home">Radbrains.com</a> </span> -->
    				</h1>
    				<!-- <div id="site-description" ></div> -->

    not dramatic on the front page, because the browsers ignore the extra </h1> tag; but catastrophic in the inner pages, because there is a div instead of the h1;
    for instance from the ‘trade-totals’ page (the other pages are for some reason ok):

    <!-- <div id="site-title">
    					<span> <a href="http://www.radbrains.com/" title="Radbrains.com" rel="home">Radbrains.com</a> </span> -->
    				</div>
    				<!-- <div id="site-description" ></div> -->

    edit header.php and move the end of the commenting --> to after the </<?php echo $heading_tag; ?>> (that is from Twenty Ten, but I hope Mantra has the same code)

    alchymyth, thanks for the reply, that was the problem as I was trying to comment out the title part of the code.

    The commenting is now gone, I think you may still be seeing it because it has not yet been recached on the server by my W3 caching plugin. Everything is showing up fine for me now.

    Please let me know if you still see the problem

    because it has not yet been recached on the server by my W3 caching plugin.

    thanks for the reply;
    alright – I was not aware of the caching – so the case is really resolved.

    if this is all sorted, please tick the ‘resolved’ button below this editor window;
    thanks 😉
