Download (and install) this Custom CSS Manager plugin.
Then, within the section of the dashboard allocated by that plugin, add this;
#access ul ul li,
#access ul ul li:hover,
#access ul ul li.current-menu-item > a {
background: deeppink;
}
/*Change deeppink to your colour*/
the mantra theme still over rides the menu and the color in the dropdown still stays white no matter what color i use for the menu??

This “33000cc” is not a colour readable by CSS.
You need to either specify a hexadecimal, RGB value, or colour name.
http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css_colornames.asp
but i can change the menu color but not able to change any of the color in the drop down.
where are you reading “33000cc”
I have my menu background switched to “#FFFFFF” but would really like all the sub menus to change when i change the top menu colors
I am having this same issue. On the site I am developing http://www.tentaculardesign.com/ladyarielle
If you go to Fabulous Jewelry and try and use the drop down, you will see there is no mouse over color showing you what you are selecting.
if you go to any of the pages in the submenu and use the drop down, the mouseover works perfectly. Any ideas? I know its gotta be something simple I’m missing.
