I was able to figure it out myself.

After you’ve added shipping zones, shipping services, and shipping rates to the Table Rate Plus section of the Shipping tab, you must:

    1. Go to the Edit Product page.
    2. Under Product Data, click the Shipping tab.
    3. In the Shipping Class drop down, select a shipping class that you’ve created for Table Rate Plus.
    4. Click Update.

I’m still getting Flat Rate shipping. Any ideas?

    Hi Iocomojoe

I have emailed support over a week ago and had no reply.
the plugin doesn’t give the option for table rate shipping in the dropdown box.

I installed another plugin just to see and it added the dropdown that is required.

I only have postage by state so I have just done it through attributes now if that is any help to you

I’m doing zones by zip codes and then distributing the weight classes. What plug-in did you buy?

I figured it out. Didn’t have to do the solution you posted, but thanks anyway!

Anyone else mind sharing what they did to fix the problem? Did you have to switch to a new plugin altogether or did you simply add another plugin to fix this drop down issue?

I’m still working on finding a solution here. Thanks to anyone reading and who can take the time to reply.

No, I used what I have. I didn’t need to use the table rate shipping drop down. That feature is for the WooCommerce plug-in only. I’m using zones (zip codes) and weights for order size. So, in the new WooCommerce screen for Shipping Zones, I just use the U.S. and didn’t add shipping methods. All the rate calculations are done in the table rate plus section. Let me know exactly what you’re trying to do and I’ll see if I can help.

Thanks for the response, locomojoe. I appreciate it.

I am trying to use the plugin to add different shipping options by weight. I’ll be shipping props that vary in size, so I am trying to go by weight and offer an increasing rate for each weight increment. For example, 10-14 lbs costs x shipping, 15-19 lbs increases that a bit more, etc. I plan on shipping worldwide, though mainly in the US and Canada. It’s also worth noting that if there’s a way to calculate shipping by specific product dimensions/weight, that would work for me as well.

You mentioned table rate plus, is that the woocommerce table rate plugin? I may end up needing to get that if I can’t get this free plugin to work.

I haven’t settled on any one option yet, so I’m open to trying new ideas or plugins if you have any other suggestions as well.

Again, thanks for taking the time to try and help me out!

You’ll need to get the Table Rate Shipping Plus plug in. It’s not the Woocommerce plugin that costs $99. This one is $29, but to figure it out takes some trial and error. I was able to and can probably put together how to implement it with the 2.6 Woocommerce upgrade.

@locomojoe — can you tell us how you were able to get it to work? *bats lashes* I purchased the Table Rates Plus plugin and for the life of me can’t get the drop-down to appear. It’s set correctly on the product. I have a zone created. I have shipping classes created. I have rates added to the table. But I can’t do anything until I assign a shipping method to the zone and it’s just not an option.

Hello again. I think I finally figured it out, but it’s pretty damn confusing.

I was trying to set it up based on items. So, if there are 1-6 of a certain item, the shipping would be $2.00. If there are 7-100 of an item, it would be $6.80.

When I set the Table Rate to “condition: item count”, it was unclear to me that the “min” and “max” were for my quantity and not for a price (because it asks for decimals, which implied price). They could make that clearer.

Anyway, that solved it for me. It automatically calculates now and I see that we don’t need Table Rate to be in the shipping method drop down for main WooCOmmerce. Just do the settings within the Plus plugin’s Table Rates Plus settings.

So, sorry I haven’t responded. Do you still need help?

You’re are right, you have to bypass the WooCommerce and set up the shipping options via Table Rate Plus plug in. Again, I apologize. It is frustrating.

@locomojoe were you able to get your settings working on the 2.6 version? I am shipping products by weight and USPS rates. Can you share what you did?
