I wonder why you use the old WordPress image manager? it is so outdated and hard to use, not to mention buggy and time consuming. Do you plan to update the manager to the newer WordPress interface? it is incredibly faster to use, drag to reorder images, reverse order, so much easier to add captions and titles, etc. I would like to see this plugin get up to the times before I commit to is and venture into pro features. There are a lot of thing I like about your plugin and have a few real estate clients I would like to use it for.

    Hello,

We do have some add-ons available: https://www.usabilitydynamics.com/product/wp-property-slideshow and https://www.usabilitydynamics.com/product/wp-property-responsive-slideshow

Let me know if this will take care of this issue. I will also send this to our development team to see if this can be updated.

Jessica, I have to recommend that you do not invest money into this plugin system. All their products are outdated, it seems like a promising system but it just doesn’t work well and instead of improving the products and considering good advice like yours, they just deflect support questions with more questions and/or point you to paid products.

Sorry Elena and Maria, you are nice people but support is terrible, paid plugins are terrible. You could change, but you haven’t. Being nice isn’t enough. I’ve lost my patience and a lot of money.

hello Elena, I do have both of those add-ons installed. That is not what I am referring to. I am talking about the upload and manage process.Your plugin uses the old WP interface for uploading and managing galleries. One of the biggest hassles of the old interface is deleting images from the gallery. You can only delete one by one and its painfully time consuming to manage.

additionally Elena, I wonder why you did not answer my question, you only referred me to add-ons. I would think you know what the image/gallery manager is. I not referring to front end appearance. I am referring to back-end management.

    Hello @miclovin

If you are referring to our bad support, please let us know here or directly(because this is not your thread) where you received bad support or your issue wasn’t resolved. We can’t find your thread to understand what are you talking about.

Also want to mention that both our slideshow add-ons are free.

    Hello @jessicapschultz

In next release there will be additional tab to manage images – https://www.screencast.com/t/d6vkiYYN81I

    Elena misunderstood your question.

    Hello Maria,

That will be GREAT to see an update. Can you verify we are talking about the same thing though?? I understand you are adding a new tab for editing the gallery, but what will I see after I click the add media button?? Will it be the old interface or new?? I have shared a screenshot so you can see what I am talking about.

On the new interface (which is really not that new, its been a WordPress feature for a long time now… years), you can drag and drop the order of your images and very quickly add and remove images to and from your gallery.

Is there an estimated release date on your update? I am just wondering if I need to move on to other options.

Yes, that will be something new. You can check by yourself here – https://github.com/wp-property/wp-property/tree/latest

That version is not ready for release but media button you will have ability to test.

Unfortunately we do not have any estimate about release date.

I tested the new version on my test server. I like the new media manager!

On the front end, for the property_overview shortcode, the new version messed up my grid layout however. This was another feature lacking; would be nice if there was a place in the settings to choose a grid layout or list layout and have it load the necessary CSS to make those layouts display nicely. I have had to style my own layout. I wish it was like WooCommerce where grid layout is just part of the plugin’s css so it works in any theme.

Another feature which we are working at the moment is default styles. For old users who will update plugin they won’t effect, until they enable that in wp-config file. For new users they will be enabled by default.

Regarding overview there will be two options for overview widget grid and list view. https://www.screencast.com/t/PoShTVarq

    Regards.

    Hoi Maria,

I was wondering if you allready have a release date for this update. I’m now in control of a 2GB website due to this bad manager.

I have a website prinstuscanproperties.com on which I use WPML to have an international website. Therefore I have 3 languages set up and when I want to create a property in a different language, I cannot copy the images. I need to upload the images 3 times instead of 1. Is there a short term sollution for this?

    cheers

    Hello.

We still working on that release, there is no estimate for the release date.

Regarding WPML there is add-on for images managing from them, do you have it?

    Regards.

I really thought this was going to be a great plugin but now after 4 months it just seems like there is no effort to make updates or any idea of when updates will occur. I think I need to abandon it and move on 🙁
