Support » Plugin: The GDPR Framework By Data443 » Manage cookies

I’ve just installed the plugin but it does not display an option to the user to manage the cookies so they can accept them depending on their type.
Is there any option to enable that functionality?
Any help would be very appreciated. Thank you so much.

    Best regards

    Hi! That’s the same problem/doubt I have.
I’ve not yet understood how does the plugin manage, block and register cookies.

For everything else is the best GDPR plugin ever!

    Thanks for clarifying

The GDPR Framework has two hooks you can call when the user has selected decline or accept. You can use the WordPress function add_action to access a custom function to then control your cookies. Accept, calls the action ccpa_consent_accept_cookies. Decline, calls the action ccpa_consent_deny_cookies.

Hi @data443. Sorry, I am not a coder and did not understand anything about your reply above. Like @arantzazu and @wonderorsi, I would like know which plugin settings (not code) determines which cookies are being left on (ie essential operational ones) even when DECLINE is selected – and how the user will know this.

Hello @data443, so that means that you can either accept all cookie or decline all of them. Is it not possible to choose which one to accept and decline?
    Thank you

Hi. That is correct. The way the popup works right now it alerts the user that cookies are being used. After that, they have two options. First would be to decline/dismiss the alert knowing that cookies are in use and continue using the site. The second option is to accept that you know that cookies are being used and continue using the site. The accept action is recorded in your site’s database. If they select none and continue using the site they are notified about the use of cookies. We have made plans to develop a fully functioning cookie management feature in our next release.
