Support » Fixing WordPress » Malware ? HTML/ScrInject.B trojan

  • Hi everyone,

I manage a wordpress website for our research group, it is very amateur website with mainly .pdf content, no ad and no enhancement of the website in anyway.

The main page is ok, but since recently, when we try to get to any other pages ( for example : I get an alert from ESET that the webage is threatened by trojan.

” This web page contains potentially dangerous content.
    Threat: HTML/ScrInject.B trojan”

I sent a message to ESET with the ELC log and they answered to me

    Dear Felix Bourgeau,

Thank you for your submission. The website was probably compromised. Please remove references to

    ESET Malware Response Team

Does this sounds familiar to any of you, is there any way to identify and remove this ‘reference’?

As I was trying to explain, I am not a developer or coder, I use a simple free theme and free plugin for our simple website, we don’t have resources to pay people for maintaining the page.

    Best regards,
