Don’t give them your email address. I deleted the plugin, but the emails keep coming. There is no unsubscribe option so you will be spammed for the rest of your life.

Today another spam email by MalCare, but this time with unsubscribe link! Now let’s see if they will respect it.

Nope, again an email, without unsubscribe link. Urging me to reactivate the plugin. 🙁

You have my sympathies, I honestly think that this awful plugin should be called MALWARE instead of MALCARE!

I had this piece of garbage forced upon me when I clicked “Bot Protection” on Cloudways, and now I can’t get rid of it. Just tried resetting permissions as others who have been cursed with this suggested, hopefully that will do the trick. If not, I may have to do a complete new installation of my seven-year-old website.

And yes, I get their spammy emails as well!

Thanks Bill. I really hope WordPress is going to do something about it, but I’m afraid it will take a long long time. I still keep getting emails from Malcare, so I blocked them now.

Still being spammed by MalCare, and wordpress.org isn’t going to do anything about it. So keep away from this spammer.

Thank you Sweta, can you tell me what controls and measures have been taken?

    Hello @annekee ,

In order to enhance the user experience, we are implementing unsubscribe links in all of our emails to address the absence of this feature in certain instances. We have already successfully incorporated unsubscribe links into a portion of our email communications.

Additionally, during our evaluation process, we identified an issue where the unsubscribe link was not visible due to CSS malfunctions. Rest assured, we are actively working on resolving this matter to ensure the visibility and accessibility of the unsubscribe link.

Your patience and co-operations are highly appreciated.

    Regards,
    Sweta
