Making the website public

I have searched everywhere on how to make your wordpress website public. Version 3.7.1 is very difficult to figure out and is different from the other versions. I have tried going to settings and looking everywhere. I searched online for help, and I found that you need to remove the password requirement. I searched everywhere and could not figure out how to do this.
Please Help.
