  • All you normally need to do to display a CF7 form anywhere is to simply insert the CF7 shortcode wherever you want the form to appear – including in widgets.

Therefore, to look for a solution to your idea, I would research plugins that allow you to control how and when a WordPress shortcode is displayed in your widget.

Widget Logic http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-logic/ has some basic capabilities in this regard but it may not meet your needs and you may have to look further.

You are looking for a spoiler . . . one of these plugins might help:

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-ui/ (you can see it in action on http://kindersbbqfairfield.com/our-menu )

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/easy-spoiler/ Simple and easy, but doesn’t look as nice as the wp-ui (IMHO)

You can add whatever you want to show in the slider/spoiler, and I believe both will work within a text widget in a sidebar – just surround the form short code with with the spoiler shortcode.

thanks, they look like good plug-ins!

Take a look at twinpictures.de’s Collapse-O-Matic plugin. I have used it numerous times in two of my websites. It is extremely flexible and easy to set up. If you want to see some implementations, take a look at both the home page and the Chapter Information page of <lcoc-moaa.org>.

Almost forgot, it works in a sidebar or on a page.
