    Hello everyone,

I got this far. I downloaded and installed wordpress, uploaded the files onto my web server and even made some test blog postings.

Now, I’m wondering how can I make the blog postings become part of an existing website ?

In another word, rather than use the templates shown in wordpress. How can I make the blogs become part of an existing website ? In another word, make the blogs use the templates of an existing website (ie. in that case, meaning mine) ? If you know what I’m asking in here ?

    Thanks!

    Hello

If you mean how to get the blog to look like your existing site. You have to edit the files in the wp-content/themes/ folder.

There are 2 themes in there upon install, “default” and “classic”.

It is not going to be something you can just do, unless you know HTML, PHP and are familiar with the WP templating system somewhat.

    Those may help. 🙂

I understand what DB is asking, I am looking for the same thing. I just want a blog page for this site: http://www.thehatchetwounds.com (totally SFW – its a band)

Isn’t there a way to make a “blog.php” file and throw a tag in a table and have the main content show up?

I just want to use it as a basic blog/CMS.

Your best bet is to make a theme out of your existing site by editing the header.php, sidebar.php and footer.php of any theme.
