Support » Plugin: Subscribe2 - Form, Email Subscribers & Newsletters » Making Subscribe2 compatible with new GDPR laws

  • Hi everyone.

    I thought I would post the changes I made to the Subscribe2 email templates so that they are compatible with the new GDPR data protection laws coming in to EU Law on 25th May 2018. Others are welcome to use them and I thought the developers may wish to add them to the default template text for future versions. I have added information about how to unsubscribe to each email and also described what data is held for each subscriber in the sign up emails. I will also add this information to the privacy policy for my wordpress sites.

    I also removed the reference to the email address being deleted from the database in the final reminder email, until I confirm whether this is an automated process or not.

    Here are the template text settings I am now using:

    Notification email (must not be empty):

    {POST}
