  • I’ve figured out how to add the images and feature them in the slideshow. Now I have the problem of when the images are displayed in the thumbnail size they are cropping the middle of the picture. How can i make the thumbnail images show up as a shrunken size of the entire image instead.

    Have you checked in your themes functions.php file to see if it is hard cropping thumbnails?

    I’ve tried checking in the themes functions.php file but there is nothing about cropping. Here is what I thought was all about the thumbnails:

    // Get WP Generated thumb

    function wpcx_get_wp_generated_thumb($position, $cur_post_id = NULL) {

    global $post;

    $post_id = $post->ID;

    if(!empty($cur_post_id)) {

    $post_id = $cur_post_id;

    }

    $thumb = get_the_post_thumbnail($post_id, $position);
    $thumb = explode(“\””, $thumb);
    if(!empty($thumb[5])) {
    return $thumb[5];
    }
    }

    if (function_exists(‘add_image_size’)) {
    add_image_size( ‘slideshow’, 480, 210, true );
    add_image_size( ‘slideshow_thumb’, 100, 75, true );
    add_image_size( ‘reference’, 250, 130, true );
    add_image_size( ‘feat_thumb’, 295, 150, true );
    }

    Here is the entire code sheet for the themes function.php:

    [ 100s of lines of code deleted. For that many lines of code use pastebin.com and post the link instead. Also do not bump, those get deleted. ]
