making posts horizontal first

Is there a plugin or a way so that you can have say 3 posts horizontally on 1 line and next posts on next line, I have attached a jpg pic of what I mean, 1 being latest post, 4 being oldest. jpg here: http://www.digiworx.tv/wordpress.jpg
