# Making Header Transparent on Basic Pages

 * Hi,
 * Was wondering if anyone knew a way for a header on basic pages to be transparent(
   [http://www.jendotkim.com/contact/](http://www.jendotkim.com/contact/)) so that
   it mimics how it appears on the front page when that option is ticked on ([http://www.jendotkim.com/](http://www.jendotkim.com/)).
 * I just want my header and nav to have a transparent background so that they are
   layered on top of the slide image.
 * I would also like to remove the top padding above the slideshow.
 * Much appreciated.
