Making Header Pic Bigger HELP!

  • Hi, i need some help with a friends website http://www.ferriday.co.uk/wordpress

    We would like to make the header picture a little bigger and ideally in the centre, can anyone help?

    Neither of us are familiar with code but can navigate the editor and change whatever we need to change if someone can instruct us!

    The only other thing we would like to remove is the page name that appears on each page in red above our text in the in the text box.

    It is now getting frustrating as we are more used to engines and machines than web speak and coding!! 🙂

    Thanks.

  • The image is being constrained by this setting in your CSS file:

    #site-title {
    float: left;
    font-size: 2em;
    line-height: 1.125em;
    margin-right: 4%;
    width: 32%; <--- this
    }

    ive changed them but nothing seems to change.. am i missing something?

    }

    /* Site title. */
    #site-title {
    float: left;
    font-size: 2em; /* 32px / 16px = 2 */
    line-height: 1.125em; /* 36px / 32px = 1.12500 */
    margin-right: 15%;
    width: 100%;
    }
    #site-description {

    Which file did you edit, because the live site is unchanged?

    You should put that in child theme style.css. Child theme can be found here.
