 * Hi,
 * I am somewhat new to WordPress. I don’t like the way that it is displaying numbered
   and ordered lists. I want them to be indented.
 * What would be the best way to make these changes? Should I edit the CSS via the
   control panel, or is there some other way to make changes? Do I really need a
   child theme for something like this?
 * Here is an example of the problem: [View Page](http://kennethrjones.com/computer-programming/)
 * Thanks,
    Kenneth R. Jones

 * For something simple like this, though, making a child theme is probably overkill.
   However, if you edit the theme’s files directly, you’ll lose those changes the
   next time the theme is updated. Instead, an easy way to add custom CSS is to
   install the [Jetpack plugin](https://jetpack.com/) and activate the [Custom CSS](https://jetpack.com/support/custom-css/)
   module. You’ll then add your custom CSS in the new stylesheet editor that’ll
   appear in your dashboard, under Appearance > Edit CSS.
 * A custom CSS editor is also included in the Customizer as of WordPress 4.7.

 * I will look into those options. I’m not sure why I don’t have 4.7. I haven’t
   been prompted to upgrade yet.
 * A child theme might end up being the way to go. I’m sure I’ll probably find other
   things I want to tweak in the future. After I start getting some content posted.

 * Posting back on this…
 * I’m not understanding why I can’t upgrade to version 4.7, as you suggested. The
   dashboard does not show there are any upgrades available. The information I’ve
   been able to find suggests that it was released on December 6th, 2016. It also
   stated that I would be able to upgrade via the dashboard.

 * I’ve checked for updates several times. I’m being told that I am running the
   latest version.
