Support » Fixing WordPress » making category page show all posts

  • Hello 🙂 I am using WP Version: 1.5

    I made a separate category page and it is working fine except for one thing.

    I have my main blog set to show only 3 posts and this is carrying over to the category page.

    Here is the code for the category page:

    <?php single_cat_title('Currently browsing: '); ?>
    <?php if ($posts) { foreach ($posts as $post) { start_wp(); ?>

    I did try to replace the bottom line with a code found at the Codex but it did not work:

    How can I change that bottom line of code to make it display all the posts instead of just three?

    Thank you so much!!

  • I think you need a plug in to change how many posts show on diff pages. Search for Custom Posts per page plugin.

    Thanks – I did the search and found a plugin but it was only for version 1.3a

    So I installed the “The Enhanced View Plugin” from coldforged – but never could get that to work.

    Good news though – after a LOT of searching for an answer I found it over at:

    There was one tiny bit of code that made everything work the way I wanted with no plugins:

    if (is_category() || is_day() || is_month() ) {
    $posts = query_posts($query_string . '&nopaging=1');

    I just added that in-between those 2 lines of code in my original question.
    Now all the posts are showing up on my category page, which is just what I wanted!!
