Support » Plugin: Regions for WP Job Manager » Makes your website ‘Crash Permanently’

  • This plugin has not been maintained for a LONG TIME.

    If you install it, it makes your website “crash permanently” as the “jquery” used in it, is no longer supported.

    @astoundify, the developer, has two themes that work with WordPress Job Manager: Jobify and Listify. I think it is not a good reference to offer these themes in the description of the plugin, seeing that they do not respond to anyone at support threads, nor give an explanation, nor update the plugin even knowing that it damages hundreds of clients (followers) websites.

    They should be a little more professional… and take care of faithful clients that use their plugin and that they gaved them their trust 🙁

  • Try to send your request to Brian Gathuita <hi@astoundify.com>
    I just did and they replied and want to get info on how to recreate the crash.

    Hi @minabokningar, I wrote them 7 months ago about this error, thru their site, at support and this was their answer:

    ============================

    “Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

    Here we have two options either we can switch to the downgraded version of WordPress, or We can help you with this which would cost you 200USD.

    Let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you. I’m happy to help.

    Thanks again for contacting Xtendify Technologies

    Best Regards”

    ============================

    So, if I wanted their plugin working I had to pay for fixing it 200$, as downgrading wasn´t a possible solution. because it wouldn´t work….

    Xtendify Technologies is not Astoundify?
    Try to send the bug report to Brian Gathuita <hi@astoundify.com>

    Hmm, yes seems to be part of that. But maybe worth a try to send to the email I proposed above in case it comes to the right people?

    Thank you very much for the help @minabokningar, but it seems to me that @astoundify, has known about the problem for 8 months and that they have not been interested in solving it, they have preferred to have all their followers thrown away and annoyed, with their websites offline every few hours, once and again, not caring even a little bit. Something totally incomprehensible and very unprofessional, knowing the pain or damage they are causing on a daily basis.

    Hi @brayanastoundify, I wrote you thru email with all this details.

    What I can say now, after updating plugin, it’s that site keeps falling same as before, don´t know why if you updated it and this is the only of our sites that uses your plugin, all others use same exact plugins, but not this one and none of them keep falling daily.

    Can´t understand it.

    Thanks once more for taking the time to review plugin update.

    Hi @brayanastoundify, wrote you by email. Thank you.

    Hi @brayanastoundify, we found the errors after plugin update, that keeps the site falling like 20 times a day:

    PHP Warning: strpos(): Empty needle in /home/web/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5741

    As we spoke, we have plently of sites that use exact same plugins, all of them, as are for jobs, but at the one you had access to admin, is the only one that has you plugin and that keeps falling down since months ago. All other plugins are correct, no errors from them.

    Could you please check this after update?

    Thank you!
