Support » Plugin: Jetpack by WordPress.com » Makes your site slow

  • You get a very slow site. This plugin is the first mentioned to avoid from multiple WP experts and speed up guides.
It’s a heavy plugin and makes sure your site will loose ranking on Google.

The performance settings are not as powerful as they think. You get much better options and quality basically from any other plugin.

This plugin will work for you who doesn’t care about your visitors – Only about having a easy backend.

Really sucks you HAVE TO use this plugin to use the Woocommerce app. Would be awesome to get app notifications but I rather choose speed and a customer friendly site over luxury.

And at last: Read their Terms & Conditions. You thought Facebook was bad?

Yes…You get a very slow site with JetPack but it is OPTIONAL with Woocommerce. You can click to uninstall it and will not effect Woocommerce in any way.

    Hi there,

Please make sure that you’re only using the modules you want:

    https://jetpack.com/support/control-jetpacks-modules-on-one-page/

The more Jetpack modules you enable, the more your site has to initially process, just like it would if you added a separate plugin for the features, so always make sure you’re only using the features you want.

Furthermore, as @prateekshawebdesign said, if you want to use WooCommerce, you can do so without installing Jetpack.
