    Hi @eqmaker,

Rather than solely disabling Site Kit, there are considerations, such as did you have Google Analytics, AdSense, Tag Manager etc connected within Site Kit? If so, these result in network requests to these services. This is the same whether you use Site Kit to implement these services, or if you add these services manually (without Site Kit).

A more accurate test would be to add these services manually, and then compare tests. I say this as Site Kit doesn’t make any networks requests or load any resources on the front end of your site other than the Google services it supports (if connected).

I’m happy to review your site before and after Site Kit is set up if you wish to share your site URL? Rather than Site Kit not being suitable for you, I suspect it’s a case of considering what Google services you wish to connect (manually or without Site Kit), or third party tags you wish to add via Tag Manager.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

    Hello @jamesosborne,

    Thank you for your message.
I can not fully understand why
But, inserting the code directly into head.php only results in a delay of a few tens of milliseconds, not such as several SECs.

For now, it’s clear that the plugin is causing the delay. However, the specific factors contributing to this still need further investigation.

Thanks for the update @eqmaker. Appreciate you sharing your findings. If you’d like to share your site URL here or privately via this form, I’d be happy to run some checks on your site, with Site Kit active and then with Site Kit deactivated (but with Analytics, GTM etc added manually).

We do take such reports seriously so it would be great if you could share this for me to check. There are many factors when it comes to the performance impact of adding any service to your site, but I will run a few checks.

    Hi @eqmaker,

I’m just following up with you to check whether you wish for me to perform some checks on your site?

Note also we do have a feature being rolled out to Site Kit from the next release, scheduled for 2 weeks time, whereby users can host the Google Analytics script locally. This can help give a small performance boost.

Do share your Site Health information if you wish for me to perform some checks, or ask if you have any questions. Thank you.
