Make this compatible to wp version 4.6.1

    Currently we are using WordPress version 3.0.1 and wp mail smtp plugin version is 0.9.1 only in my site due to compatibility issues because your latest version 0.9.5 is compatible up to 4.4.5 only and now we want upgrade my WordPress version to the current version 4.6.1 along with plugin current version .So i am requesting you to please kindly make this updated plugin compatible to the current WordPress version 4.6.1 as soon as possible.

    Interesting. It broke for me too but I did not notice for a while and did not make the mental connection to the WP update – just assumed my host had changed something. I got WP Mail SMTP working again after some exasperating trial and error by configuring it to use an email account on the same domain as my WP site.

    I don’t think there was a compatibility issue, I just didn’t update the “compatible with” field.
