# MAKE theme doesn't update

 * I updated the MAKE theme from version 1.4.1 to version 1.4.8 but after updating
   I still got the notice to update to version 1.4.8. I retried to update but still
   same notice, am I doing something wrong?

 * I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this problem! We don’t have any other users 
   reporting this. Could there be a plugin causing this issue? If you deactivate
   your plugins and run updates, does the issue persist?

 * As soon I replace the style.css with my custom style.css the update re-appears.
   I don’t rename the css file and don’t use a child theme, is there another option
   to put custom CSS in the theme?

 * Ah ha, that makes sense. I wonder if you’re using a stylesheet with an old version
   number in there, so WordPress *thinks* you need to update when you don’t? It’s
   found toward the top of the stylesheet typically, unless you’ve changed that 
   also.
 * If you’re making custom changes to the stylesheet and don’t want to use a child
   theme, a plugin like [Simple Custom CSS](https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/)
   might help. That’s the one I use and like a lot.
